An email received later confirmed that one of the two identified bodies was that of their son.

However, the family says it has not received further details since then.

Joyan said the company had told them that bringing a body back could usually take 10 to 15 days.

Amid the chaos and tension of the Jantar Mantar protests over the NEET-UG paper leak and demands for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, a demonstrator showed kindness towards an on-duty police officer at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Monday, July 20.

The protests, led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), saw thousands of students and youth march from Jantar Mantar towards Parliament, demanding Pradhan's resignation over the NEET-UG paper leak and irregularities in CBSE examination results. However, the protests turned violent after police resorted to a lathi charge and used tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Over the past three days, Delhi's streets have turned into a battleground, with police and protesters clashing amid tear gas shelling and heavy security deployment. Several political leaders also joined opposition parties in condemning the alleged heavy-handed police crackdown.

Also Read: PM Modi urges Sonam Wangchuk to regain weight after ending 26-day fast

Compassion Amid Chaos

As the July 20 protests intensified under the scorching sun, with Delhi police and demonstrators locked in a tense standoff, the viral footage offered a poignant reminder of empathy, showing that human decency can still prevail even in the most volatile and high-stress environments.

In a video that went viral on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), a police officer can be seen lying on the floor after having a rough day, involved in intense crowd management and grueling hours under demanding conditions, when the demonstrator stepped forward to provide immediate comfort and relief.

As the police officer was lying on the floor, visibly exhausted and struggling to catch his breath amid the stifling heat, a protester apparently used a blue office notice board pulled from a wall as a makeshift fan to cool him down, offering a poignant moment of empathy amidst the volatile demonstrations.

While police were lathi-charging protesters at Jantar Mantar, some officers collapsed from exhaustion. Ironically, the same protesters then helped them recover by fanning them and blowing air on them. pic.twitter.com/zTQr8cdJdt

— Oppressor (@TyrantOppressor) July 20, 2026

Though the protesters and Delhi police continue to face off across the capital, the brief moment of unexpected compassion has highlighted the deeper human stories unfolding alongside the political turmoil.

Despite the protesters and police being subjected to exhausting conditions, tear gas, and violent confrontations, a single act of care captured widespread public attention as a powerful symbol of humanity bridging the divide.

17 Delhi Metro Stations Closed

Amid the ongoing protests led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) over the NEET-UG paper leak and demands for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, 17 metro stations across Delhi have been temporarily shut down by authorities to manage the crowds and maintain public safety.

According to a statement by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), 17 metro stations across the national capital will remain closed from 7:30 AM on Friday until further instructions from authorities, causing significant commuter disruptions across the network.

While entry and exit gates at stations such as Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, and Patel Chowk were temporarily shut by the DMRC due to heightened security concerns amid the ongoing NEET-UG paper leak protests, interchange facilities remained available at key hubs like Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, and Central Secretariat to assist commuters.

Service Update Below mentioned Metro stations will be closed from 07:30 AM tomorrow (24th July, 2026) till further instructions.

A hilarious yet relatable airport moment went viral on social media, where a passenger innocently misinterpreted an airline's explanation for a flight delay in India. Airline or airport staff often encounter such situations where passengers misunderstand technical terms used in announcements.

In a video that went viral on social media, especially Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), airport staff were heard using the term ‘fatigue’ as a delay for the flight, hilariously resulting in the travelling passenger misheard as ‘phat gaya’ (meaning 'what burst?' in Hindi) and interrupting the announcement with the priceless question.

Since not all passengers are familiar with aviation-related terms or are well-versed in specialized industry jargon, such misunderstandings can occasionally create humorous situations.

Also Read: Air India crash: Probe follows global rules, AAIB tells Supreme Court

How This Hilarious Incident Unfolded?

As the flight appeared to be delayed, the staff member of the aircraft or airline representative attempted to keep passengers updated about the situation, ensuring that travelers remained informed. However, the serious update turned into a moment of collective amusement among the passengers and staff.

In a viral video, the airport staff was seen explaining the flight delay, stating that the crew was dealing with 'fatigue,' which immediately paved the way for the comical misunderstanding. Before she could complete the announcement, the curious traveler interjected with the unforgettable remark, saying:

‘Kya Phat Gaya?’

The hilarious interruption left a few passengers and the airport staff struggling to keep a straight face, instantly turning a standard travel update into a viral piece of comedy gold.
    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by TV1 INDIA खबरों का नया अड्डा* (@tv1indialive)

Since aviation terms are often unfamiliar to many travellers, words used by airline staff can sometimes be misunderstood, especially when they sound similar to commonly used phrases in local languages.

In this case, the passenger’s innocent confusion between “fatigue” and “phat gaya” transformed a routine flight delay update into a hilarious moment that quickly spread online.

What is Fatigue in Aviation Terms?

In aviation, fatigue refers to a state of physical or mental exhaustion that can affect a crew member’s alertness, decision-making ability, and overall performance. Since pilots and crew often travel across different time zones, work irregular hours, and operate under demanding schedules, airlines closely monitor fatigue levels to ensure flight safety.

All the airlines in India ensure that pilots and cabin crew members receive adequate rest between duties and follow strict fatigue management guidelines to reduce safety risks. If an assigned pilot or cabin crew member is too tired to travel, airlines may delay departures or arrange replacements to prioritize passenger safety.

Last year, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) introduced updated Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) regulations, emphasizing stricter rest requirements and reduced night operations to prioritize passenger safety. However, the rule saw disruptions due to widespread operational challenges and roster bottlenecks across major carriers, especially IndiGo.

However, despite these initial hurdles, the aviation sector continues to adapt its scheduling frameworks to balance smooth airline operations with essential crew well-being.

Also Read: 'Tears, Hugs and Smiles': Woman Surprises Family After Nearly Three Years; Emotional Reunion Video Goes Viral (WATCH)

The father of a woman didn’t hesitate to use such a grave and sensitive accusation as a tool for intimidation.

Since false allegations and genuine cases of sexual assault are both matters of serious legal and social concern, the video has reignited discussions online about the alleged misuse of criminal accusations as a means of intimidation.

Also Read: India Vs Bhutan: Travel Couple's Border Video Shows Stark Difference in Roads, Cleanliness and Civic Sense (WATCH)

Elderly Man’s Open Intimidation Goes Viral

As the CJP protests were taking place on the sidelines, the YouTuber, who was present at the demonstrations, happened to meet an elderly man, who was openly confronting him with a threat of his own daughter to ensure his life was ruined.

In viral footage recorded by the YouTuber, the elderly man was heard saying that he would level false allegations against him by tearing his own daughter's clothes and using the manufactured scene to ensure the YouTuber is jailed on sexual assault charges. The threat to an individual, despite the camera rolling, underscores the brazenness with which the man viewed his actions,

The man is believed to be a supporter of the ruling party at the centre and is seemingly opposing the ongoing protests by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which has been demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over NEET-UG paper leaks and CBSE paper evaluation glitch.

"I'll bring my own daughter, tear her clothes, and have you jailed on false sexual assault charges."This boomer BJP supporter said this to a young man outside the Jantar Mantar protest simply because he was participating in it.And after saying all this, this shameless boomer… pic.twitter.com/bY4lzzh3pD

— Oppressor (@TyrantOppressor) July 19, 2026

The shocking encounter between the YouTuber and the elderly man reportedly took place against the backdrop of July 20 protests by ‘Chalo Sansad’ (March to Parliament) in New Delhi. The youth-based movement, started by Abhijeet Dipke, drew students, parents and supporters to Jantar Mantar, where demonstrators marched under the 'Chalo Sansad' banner demanding action over the alleged examination irregularities.

However, on the sidelines of the protests, the elderly man's alleged threat against the YouTuber quickly became one of the most talked-about moments online, shifting attention from the demonstration to the disturbing exchange captured on camera.

Social Media Condemns Elderly Man's Shocking Threat

The viral video of an elderly man opening with a threatening individual with a false sexual assault case on camera has triggered a wave of reactions on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), with users expressing shock over the remarks and condemning the apparent attempt to misuse a serious criminal allegation for intimidation.

Taking to their X handles, several users condemned the elderly man's remarks, with many describing them as deeply disturbing and expressing concern for his daughter. Others described such allegations as undermining the credibility of genuine survivors of sexual assault, while some called for legal action and a thorough investigation into the incident.

However, some expressed concern for the elderly man's daughter, while others claimed the remarks exposed a disturbing mindset and called for psychiatric help, accountability, and stronger action against such behaviour.

This is the highest level of misogyny & objectification of women.

An Indian woman living in Japan has given social media users a look at the country's highly organised system for collecting and sorting household rubbish. In a video shared online, she explained how residents are expected to separate their waste carefully and put it out only on the collection day assigned to each type of rubbish. Her video has drawn widespread attention, with many viewers impressed by the level of planning and discipline involved in everyday waste disposal.

    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Pragati Bhardwaj Mukharaiya ( プラガティ・バルドワジ) (@pragatibhardwaj)

Garbage collection follows a fixed calendar

The woman showed a garbage collection calendar used in her area in Japan. The chart lists different types of waste and the days on which they are collected.

According to the calendar, burnable waste is collected on Mondays and Thursdays. Plastic packaging has a separate collection day on Tuesday, while recyclable waste is collected on Wednesday.

PET bottles have their own collection day on Friday. The calendar also makes it clear that there is no garbage collection on Saturdays and Sundays.

The system means residents cannot simply throw all their household rubbish away together. They have to check the calendar and sort their waste before taking it outside.

'Consent Before Construction': Indian Praises South Korea Neighbour's Thoughtful Notice | Viral Video

Even PET bottles must be sorted carefully

The woman also explained the process of disposing of PET bottles. According to the rules explained in the video, the bottles have to be prepared properly before they are put out for collection. The bottle, cap and label are separated and placed according to the local waste rules.

The calendar also instructs residents to empty and lightly rinse bottles before putting them out.

Other types of waste, such as cans, glass bottles, cardboard and plastic packaging, also have separate rules for collection and disposal.

Incorrectly sorted rubbish may not be collected

One of the points that caught the attention of viewers was what happens when rubbish is not sorted correctly. The woman said that waste that does not follow the required rules may not be collected. A warning notice can be placed on improperly sorted rubbish, asking residents to correct the problem.

This means people have to make sure their waste is placed in the correct bag or container and taken out at the right time. The system also requires residents to follow instructions about when and where rubbish should be placed for collection.

Three of Rajkot Family Die By Suicide, Crime Branch Probe Sought Into Alleged Loan Pressure

Video sparks discussion online

The video has prompted many people to discuss Japan's approach to waste management.

Several users praised the system and said they liked the idea of having clear collection days for different types of rubbish. Others said the system showed how proper waste sorting can become part of everyday life when residents follow a common set of rules.

Some viewers also asked questions about how other types of household rubbish, including food waste and nappies, are handled.

The discussion has helped draw attention to the practical side of waste management in Japan, where sorting rubbish is an important part of daily household routines.

Couple Quits Rs 35 LPA Tech Jobs for Content Creation, Earns Over Rs 1 Crore in Just One Year (WATCH)

A small gesture by residents of a South Korean apartment building has caught the attention of social media users after an Indian woman shared how her neighbours informed her about upcoming construction work. The woman, who said she lives in South Korea, posted a video explaining that she returned home from work to find a paper and a pen attached to her door. She said she translated the notice and learnt that construction work was due to take place in a nearby flat for around a month. The notice informed residents about possible problems such as drilling noise and construction dust and asked them to give their consent.
    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Himani n Shubham (@travelandeatwith_passion)

Bison Rams Car Tyre After Vehicle Gets Too Close To Herd In Yellowstone National Park

For her, however, the most impressive part was not simply being informed about the work. It was the fact that a pen had also been attached to the notice.

'Such a small detail, yet so thoughtful'

The woman said the arrangement meant residents did not have to go inside their homes to look for a pen before signing the notice.

She was also impressed to see that similar notices, with pens attached, had been placed outside almost every flat on the floor.

Sharing the video, she wrote that South Korea had "truly gone the extra mile". She praised the effort to keep residents informed about possible disruption and said the simple addition of a pen made the process easier and more convenient.

The video quickly attracted attention online, with many viewers praising what they saw as a thoughtful way of dealing with neighbours before starting construction.

Pregnant Woman Disappears After Leaving Home, Found Dead Days Later As Baby Remains Missing

Indians compare it with their own experiences

A large part of the online discussion came from Indian users, who compared the situation with their own experiences of construction work in residential areas.

Several users joked that if a pen were left outside a flat in India, it might disappear before anyone had a chance to sign the paper.

Others said construction work often begins without neighbours being informed, while some complained about the noise, dust and disruption caused by building and renovation work.

One user wrote that in India, neighbours may start construction without asking for consent and leave materials such as bricks, cement and sand outside other people's homes.

Another user joked that even banks in India sometimes keep pens tied down, referring to the fear that the pen attached to the notice might not be there for long.

Viral Video Shows Gujarat Cop Climbing Electric Pole In Daring Vapi Flood Rescue (WATCH)

Some users raise an important question

Not everyone focused only on the humorous side of the video. Some viewers asked what would happen if a neighbour did not give consent for the construction work. They questioned whether the work would be delayed or stopped if someone objected because of genuine concerns about noise, dust or other disruption.

Others pointed out that the purpose of the notice may simply be to inform neighbours and seek their agreement to the possible inconvenience, rather than give every resident the power to cancel construction.

The discussion showed how a simple notice had raised wider questions about neighbourly manners, communication and respect for shared living spaces.

'How Can Anyone Do This?': Cat Thrown From 12th Floor, Viral CCTV Video Sparks Outrage

'Consent' becomes the talking point

Many social media users praised the idea of informing neighbours before carrying out work that could affect them.

Comments described the gesture as an example of good manners, discipline and consideration. Some users said they wished similar practices were more common in India.

At the same time, a few commenters said such behaviour was not unusual in their own communities and argued that respectful neighbours exist everywhere.

The viral video ultimately turned a simple construction notice into a wider online conversation about how small acts of consideration can make life easier for people living close to one another.

Who Is Nandan Nilekani? The 7.5-km stretch connects Kalena Agrahara with Tavarekere via 6 stations, including a hospital.

People travelling along Bannerghatta Road in Bengaluru may have to wait a little longer for the city's Metro network to reach their area.

The elevated section of the Pink Line, which was expected to open by August 15, is now likely to start services in late August or early September, according to sources familiar with the project.

The deadline had been set by Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda. However, the line is yet to complete some key signalling tests and safety approvals needed before passenger services can begin, according to a report by Deccan Herald.

'He Was Set To Marry Next April': Kerala Family Awaits Body of Sailor Killed in Ukraine ship attack

The 7.5-km elevated stretch runs from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere and has six stations. One of the most important stations on the route is Jayadeva Hospital, where passengers will be able to interchange with the Yellow Line.

Once opened, the section will take Bengaluru's operational Metro network to 103.6 km.

Most of the physical work on the line is already complete. Civil works, track laying and much of the finishing work have been done. Six trains have also been delivered for the new section.

However, the remaining testing and certification work has pushed back the opening schedule.

The Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) has already conducted key tests on the new trains. Oscillation trials were held to determine safe operating speeds, while Emergency Braking Distance tests checked the trains' braking performance.

These tests were conducted between April 28 and May 9. The Interim Speed Certificate (ISC) is now expected to be issued within the next few days.

New Aadhaar App Crosses 4 Crore Downloads: Here's How To Update Mobile Number, Address And Use All Features

The bigger hurdle is the Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) certificate for the signalling system.

The assessment will be carried out by Bengaluru-based Jodova Technologies Pvt Ltd. It will examine the signalling system and how it works with other parts of the Metro network.

The assessment will also cover important safety systems, including Automatic Train Protection (ATP) and Automatic Train Operation (ATO).

While ATP testing has reportedly been completed, ATO validation is still in progress. These tests check whether trains can operate automatically, stop accurately and berth correctly at stations.

Sources said signalling software is being upgraded before it is installed on the trains. Further testing is expected between August 3 and 5, followed by the ISA assessment on August 5 and 6.

Employee Confronts Boss Over 'No Reason' Termination; Viral Video Fuels Toxic Work Culture Debate (WATCH)

After the ISA certificate is obtained, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will apply to the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) for the statutory safety inspection.

The CMRS will also inspect the Kothanur depot and check facilities such as the washing plant, underframe water-jet cleaning system and train-lifting equipment.

The inspection is expected to take place in the third week of August. If the CMRS raises any concerns, BMRCL will first have to address them before the line can open to passengers.

This process could push the opening to late August or early September.

Cat Faces Striking Cobra, Dodges Every Attack In Viral Video, Internet Can't Believe It (WATCH)

The elevated section is only part of the larger Pink Line project.

The 13.75-km underground stretch between Dairy Circle and Nagawara is currently scheduled to open in March 2027.

For Bannerghatta Road commuters, the immediate wait is for the elevated section to clear its final safety checks and begin operations. Until then, the August 15 target appears increasingly difficult to meet.

'Waterfall' Inside Home: Viral Video Shows Burst Pipe Flooding Rs 2 Crore Flat, Sparks Debate (WATCH)

Mumbai’s protesting students under the banner of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) came up with a unique yet striking method to voice their demand for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation following NEET-UG paper leaks, irregularities in CBSE examinations and systemic flaws plaguing national testing authorities.

The ongoing CPJ protests have witnessed a nationwide wave of solidarity demonstrations, echoing core demands for systemic accountability, transparent public examinations, and strict measures to prevent leaks in the future. Several parts of Mumbai, including key areas like Dadar, CST, and outside major university campuses, have become the epicenter of demonstrations.

Since the youth, especially students, are known for channeling pop culture and innovative digital expressions into their activism, they have displayed their latest creativity as a message directed squarely at policymakers, turning a viral sports trend into a powerful symbol of youth resistance.

Also Read: Who Is Pawan Sangle? A man repeatedly struck a scooter seat with an empty water bottle, using it as a makeshift drum to maintain a rhythmic beat that guided the crowd's synchronised movements, turning the street into a striking display of political protest.

With each strike of the water bottle on the scooter seat, the students chanted "Resign" in unison, directly demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, transforming the playful Norse athletic celebration into a sharp, unified political ultimatum echoing across the city.

the iconic Norway Viking Row being done at the student protest in India pic.twitter.com/L8OWmO2WRK

— sohom (@AwaaraHoon) July 23, 2026

Since the CJP protests across the country have reached a boiling point, where frustrated youth are increasingly turning unconventional public spaces into stages for creative dissent, a viral video serves as a striking reflection of mounting pressure on government authorities to ensure total accountability and sweeping reforms in India's education sector.

Despite CJP protests turning violent across the nation, authorities have maintained a firm stance, while student groups continue to vow that their demonstrations will persist until concrete policy changes and systemic overhauls are officially implemented.

Cringe or Creativity? Social Media Reacts to the Viral 'Viking Row' Student Demonstration

The viral video of student protestors in Mumbai recreating Norway’s famous ‘viking row’ celebration as a creative way of demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation has sparked debate on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), with netizens divided over the unique protest.

Taking to their X handles, many praised the students’ creativity, calling the protest an innovative blend of global pop culture and political activism. Some even hoped Norwegian striker Erling Haaland would notice the viral video, while others admired Gen Z's unique approach to raising awareness.

However, critics dismissed the demonstration as "cringe" and argued that borrowing Norway's 'Viking Row' tradition made little cultural sense in the Indian context.

@Erling you guys have made it to student protests in India!

— bLurb (@devil_sen27) July 23, 2026

Viking row is a cultural and core part of Norweigan culture, imitiating that in India makes absolutely 0 sense.

— KC (@RMA_admirer) July 23, 2026

this is wild the viking row hitting indian student protests like that pure energy crossover from norway to delhi love how gen z is flipping world cup vibes into real demands

— Rishabh (@rishabh4436) July 23, 2026

Imagine if Erling Haaland reposts this.

— Dhruv (@dhruvgoesoff) July 23, 2026

creativity for the comms is unparalled in this age!

— Raveen K Pai (@PaiRaveen) July 23, 2026

The absolute cringe. But this Instagram generation revels in that.

The Kerala education department has finally taken action against teachers who were arrested in an MDMA case linked to a drug gang in Vadakara. Keerthana, a resident of Maruthonkara who is currently in remand, has been dismissed from her job. Action against Kavya, a native of Koorachundu, is expected on Wednesday. The police made a major breakthrough in the investigation into the drug network during their ongoing Operation Toofan.

Teachers allegedly acted as middlemen

The police investigation has revealed the alleged modus operandi of the drug gang and the role the two teachers are suspected of playing.

According to the police, the teachers would send QR codes to customers so that payments could be transferred directly into their bank accounts.

Once the payment was made, they allegedly shared Google Maps locations with the buyers. These locations were reportedly used to guide customers to the people supplying the drugs.

The police are now investigating the full network and trying to establish who was sending money to the teachers and who was supplying the MDMA.

Why Did Two Youths Ride A Motorcycle Into A Hospital Emergecy Ward? Viral Video Sparks Debate

First teacher dismissed from service

Keerthana, a specialist physical education teacher at the Perambra Block Resource Centre (BRC), was arrested on the 11th of this month.

Based on the police report, the Sarva Shiksha Kerala State Project Officer has dismissed Keerthana from her post. She was working as a contract employee.

The education department has also started action against Kavya, who worked as a special educator at the same BRC.

Kavya was arrested on Tuesday, and the department is expected to issue her termination order on Wednesday.

Bison Rams Car Tyre After Vehicle Gets Too Close To Herd In Yellowstone National Park

Police track money transfers

The police investigation has also found that money was allegedly transferred to Kavya's bank account from Keerthana's account and from the accounts of other members of the drug gang.

This became an important lead for investigators during Operation Toofan.

The breakthrough reportedly came after police arrested Safvan, a resident of Vadakara, with two grams of MDMA.

The information gathered during that investigation helped police uncover the alleged involvement of the two teachers in the wider drug network.

Teachers accused of working as drug middlemen

The case has caused shock because both teachers held roles connected to the education system.

They were responsible for activities including organising teacher training programmes, conducting workshops and supporting efforts to improve the quality of education in schools.

Instead, police allege that they were working as middlemen for a drug network.

Police search for main MDMA supplier

The investigation is now focused on uncovering more details about the drug network.

Police are expected to question the accused in detail to find out who was transferring money to them and identify the main supplier of MDMA.

Investigators are also looking into the role of other people linked to the network and trying to understand how the alleged operation was being run.

The investigation is continuing, and further details are expected as police question the accused and trace the financial transactions linked to the case.

Viral Himachal Temple Video Sparks Debate Over Beating of Women, Police Probe Underway

The investigation into a triple murder in Bengaluru, Karnataka has taken an unusual turn, with police sources alleging that the main accused repeatedly consulted an AI chatbot while planning the killings. The accused, identified as 25-year-old Kenneth, is alleged to have killed the parents and younger sister of his live-in partner, Shwetha in the KR Puram area of Bengaluru on June 22.

According to police sources cited by India Today TV and other reports, Kenneth allegedly used Google Gemini while planning the crime over a period of nearly six months. Investigators are now examining the alleged digital trail to understand how the chatbot was used and whether the conversations can help establish the sequence of events leading to the murders. The case has drawn attention because of the alleged use of an AI chatbot in the planning of a serious crime.

'Waterfall' Inside Home: Viral Video Shows Burst Pipe Flooding Rs 2 Crore Flat, Sparks Debate (WATCH)

Police allege accused used AI during planning

According to police sources, Kenneth did not directly ask the chatbot questions such as how to commit a murder or dispose of a body. Instead, investigators allege that he used hypothetical situations to seek information.

Police sources told India Today TV that Kenneth allegedly asked questions framed around situations such as what a person should do if something happened or how to respond to an attack.

The Bengaluru city police in a joint operation with Puducherry police arrested techie J Kenneth, accused of murdering the parents and sister of his girlfriend Shwetha.Kenneth was spotted by Puducherry police when he was drinking at a wine shop, and on seeing the cops, Kenneth… https://t.co/ODQlwcW5B6 pic.twitter.com/gkoodymFjD

— Hate Detector (@HateDetectors) June 26, 2026

Investigators believe this approach may have allowed him to seek information without openly stating his alleged intentions.

Police sources also claimed that Kenneth asked questions related to weapons, violence and other aspects that investigators believe may be connected to the alleged crime.

The police have reportedly said that Google Gemini was the only AI platform they believe Kenneth used during his alleged planning.

However, the exact nature of the conversations and the extent to which they influenced his actions will have to be established through the investigation.

Delhi Metro Shuts 16 Stations Amid Parliament Session Security: Full List and What Commuters Need to Know

Six-month plan allegedly linked to financial dispute

According to police records cited by The Indian Express, the alleged plan to kill Shwetha's family developed over several months. Investigators believe financial disputes may have played a major role in the alleged motive.

Police sources said Shwetha had borrowed around Rs 50 lakh from her parents to support Kenneth's proposed cloud kitchen business.

The money was allegedly used up, while the family later sought repayment. Investigators suspect that the growing financial pressure may have led Kenneth to view Shwetha's family as a problem.

Police allege that instead of trying to resolve the dispute, he began planning the killings. Investigators believe he also explored ways to dispose of the bodies after the alleged murders.

According to police sources, Kenneth had purchased an iron furnace for his proposed cloud kitchen venture. Police allege that he considered using the furnace to dispose of the bodies but later concluded that the plan was not practical.

Investigators are now trying to establish whether his alleged conversations with the AI chatbot were connected to these plans.

Cat Faces Striking Cobra, Dodges Every Attack In Viral Video, Internet Can't Believe It (WATCH)

Three members of family allegedly killed

Police allege that the killings took place on June 22. According to the investigation, Kenneth allegedly first lured Shwetha's mother, Muthulakshmi, 48, to the apartment and attacked her with a knife.

Police allege that her husband, Somasundar, 55, and younger daughter, Supriya, 20, were attacked when they arrived at the location separately.

All three family members died in the incident. The case was reportedly strengthened by Somasundar's dying declaration.

According to The Times of India, despite suffering several stab wounds, Somasundar managed to reach the staircase. His condition was noticed by neighbours, who alerted the police.

The declaration is expected to be an important part of the investigation as police continue to piece together what happened inside the house.

Accused and partner allegedly fled after killings

Police allege that Kenneth and Shwetha later took cash and silver ornaments from the family home. The couple then reportedly left Bengaluru and travelled to Puducherry.

Police arrested them on June 24, two days after the alleged killings. Investigators are also examining Shwetha's alleged role in the case.

According to police sources, she is suspected of assisting Kenneth in the killings. Her exact role and the evidence against her will be determined as the investigation progresses.

The police are also looking into the relationship between the accused and the family and the financial disputes that allegedly existed before the incident.

Thiruvananthapuram Zoo Tiger Babita Diagnosed With Rare Cancer, Begins Chemotherapy

Police seek access to Gemini chat history

The investigation has now moved into the area of digital evidence. According to The Times of India, Bengaluru Police have approached Google seeking access to Kenneth's Gemini chat history.

Investigators believe the conversations could help them understand the accused's alleged preparation and establish whether he used the chatbot while planning the killings.

The police are reportedly interested in finding out how frequently he used the chatbot, what kind of questions he asked and whether the conversations match other evidence gathered during the investigation.

Access to the data could also help investigators establish a timeline of the alleged planning.

The reported request to Google comes as police increasingly examine digital records in serious criminal investigations. In this case, however, the alleged involvement of an AI chatbot has added a new dimension to the probe.

Police describe case as unusual

A senior police officer, according to The Indian Express, reportedly remarked that investigators had almost considered treating the AI chatbot as an accomplice because of the alleged extent of Kenneth's reliance on it.

The remark was not a suggestion that the AI tool could face criminal liability. Instead, it highlighted the unusual nature of the evidence being examined by investigators.

Police are trying to determine whether the chatbot was simply a source of general information or whether Kenneth allegedly used it in a way that directly supported his preparations for the crime.

That distinction could be important as the investigation progresses.

Vijeta Dahiya Removed as CJP Spokesperson After Viral Burger Row, Memes Take Over Internet

Psychological assessment also part of probe

The investigation has also looked into Kenneth's personal and mental state.

According to a report by Kannada newspaper Udayavani, police assessments indicated that Kenneth had experienced social isolation and had gone through a break-up.

Police sources also alleged that Shwetha financially supported him and that he had limited contact with friends and family.

Investigators are examining these factors alongside the alleged financial dispute with Shwetha's parents.

However, such assessments do not by themselves establish why the crime allegedly took place. Police will have to rely on evidence gathered during the investigation to establish the motive and the roles of those accused.

An unusual question for investigators

The Bengaluru case has raised questions about how law enforcement agencies should deal with AI-related digital evidence in criminal investigations.

AI chatbots are increasingly being used for everyday tasks, from writing and research to solving problems and finding information. The alleged use of one in the planning of a crime, if established, presents a very different challenge for investigators.

In this case, police are trying to determine what Kenneth allegedly asked, when he asked it and whether those conversations had any direct connection to the triple murder.

The answers may depend partly on whether investigators receive access to the relevant chat history.

The police investigation continues, with digital evidence being examined alongside witness accounts, the alleged dying declaration and other material collected in the case.

The alleged role of AI may be one of the most unusual aspects of the investigation, but the central questions remain focused on the deaths of three members of one family, the motive behind the alleged killings and the role played by each accused.

He Painted Homes to Support His Family: Rajasthan Boy Scores 99.15 Percentile in NEET 2026

Senior journalist Kapil Raut, who was heckled by a group of Gen Z protesters during live reporting from the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) demonstration venue in Mumbai, has forgiven the students for their actions.

Certain parts in Mumbai, including Shivaji Park in Dadar, became major focal points of tension as demonstrators gathered to voice their anger and demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over NEET-UG paper leaks and the alleged irregularities in the evaluation of CBSE examination results.

Amid the student-led protests across the city, a senior journalist, Kapil Raut, was subjected to intense mocking and trolling live on air, calling him a ‘loser’. Instead of getting angry, he chose to remain calm, handle the disruption professionally, and later extend a message of empathy to the young protesters.

Also Read: Kangana Ranaut Targets Gen Z for Viral Reels During CJP Protest: 'Who Is Raising Them?'

‘Don’t Carry Any Guilt’

After the video of Kapil Raut went viral on social media, wherein the veteran journalist was seen maintaining his composure while being surrounded by slogan-shouting students, he addressed the incident directly, telling the students not to burden themselves with regret or guilt over what had transpired.

In collaboration with the CJP social media team, Kapil urged the students not to blame themselves for the incident, saying that it was only a moment and that no one was at fault. He praised the protesters for raising their voices and congratulated them, stating that every student was like his own.

“Please don't carry any guilt. What happened was only an incident. The students have earned their victory; they have won. Congratulations to all the students, to all those who stood in the protest," the senior journalist said.

“What Gen Z is doing is inspiring; all I want to say is that do not carry any guilt. Whatever happened was an accident, and it's okay. There is one thing I want to say to all my students: please don't carry any guilt. What happened was only an incident. In Delhi, the protesters were subjected to police action during the agitation, with several students facing legal cases and detention during the course of the movement.

Eventually, the protests were called off after CJP leaders, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, met with the union ministers, Jitendra Singh and JP Nadda, submitting the demands formalizing the resolution and officially ending the nationwide demonstrations.

Apart from Pradhan’s resignation, the CJP demanded withdrawal of the FIRs against the students and release of detained protesters, along with a transparent investigation into the alleged examination irregularities. The students described the conclusion of the protests as a victory for their movement and called for continued reforms in the education system.

Also Read: Viral CJP Protest Influencer Loses 635K Instagram Account Without Warning, Bounces Back in Hours

The floods in Assam, especially hit by relentless monsoon downpours and overflowing rivers, have displaced thousands of residents, leaving communities scrambling to salvage whatever remains of their daily lives.

Over the week, certain districts in Assam, including worst-hit areas like Nagaon, Cachar, and Barpeta, experienced unprecedented rainfall, which led to the submergence of vast tracts of land and cut off vital road connectivity. The northeast state recorded heavy rainfall driven by cloudbursts and excessive downpours, with totals reaching hundreds of millimeters above normal, compounding misery for displaced residents.

It was reported that 62 people tragically lost their lives across the state due to fierce currents and sudden deluges, while rescue teams battle severe logistics challenges to reach marooned villagers.

Also Read: Sonowal reviews Assam flood relief, assures Centre's full support

School Textbooks Soaked in Rain

The Assam floods submerged houses in rural districts in murky floodwaters up to five feet deep, forcing families to abandon their belongings and seek shelter on higher ground. However, the schoolchildren’s textbooks and educational materials were badly soaked and covered in thick mud.

In a video that went viral on social media, a few school-going children were seen laying their notebooks, textbooks, and other study materials carefully across dry stretches of roads, hoping to salvage whatever they could after floodwaters receded from their homes. Since the study materials were apparently drenched and thus, the children were seen drying their books under the sun.

The books were kept in such a way that every single page was opened wide to catch the sunlight, capturing poignant snapshots of innocence, resilience, and the devastating human toll of the ongoing natural disaster.

Assam flood destroyed all the students' books. Now, amidst the flood, they are putting all the books on the roadside to dry. Assam Needs AttentionPray for Assam pic.twitter.com/m6R8kmi3vp

— Sanjay Deka (@SanjayDekaFLJ) July 25, 2026

Due to heavy rainfall in certain parts of Assam, schools and educational institutions were forced to suspend classes as campuses transformed into makeshift relief camps or remained entirely submerged beneath swirling floodwaters.

The schools in Margherita, Alubari, and Sonar were reportedly converted into temporary relief camps to accommodate displaced families and shelter hundreds of residents whose homes were submerged by the rising floodwaters. Therefore, local authorities and district administrations rushed essential relief supplies and medical aid to the area, while humanitarian groups stepped in to help the affected families grappling with the extensive devastation.

Assam Government To Provide Free Replacement Textbooks

As the notebooks, textbooks, and other study materials were ruined by the thick silt and floodwaters, the Assam Government stepped forward to ensure that students can continue their education uninterrupted.

Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah’s wife and sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan has strongly condemned the reported use of tear gas against a six-year-old child at the Cockroach Janata Party protest across Delhi on Tuesday, July 21.

The CJP ‘Sansad Chalo’ movement has turned violent after protestors clashed with police and security forces near major transit hubs and government buildings, leading to widespread chaos and the deployment of tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. The Delhi police unleashed batons on protesters, resulting in injuries to multiple demonstrators and escalating tensions across the capital.

However, reports emerged that a six-year-old was affected by tear gas after shells were fired in the area, sparking widespread outrage on social media and drawing criticism from several public figures.

Also Read: NEET protest: Jitendra Singh slams Rahul Gandhi for changing demands

Sanjana Slams Authorities Over Tear Gas at Child

Following the reports of tear gas being used in the area where the child was present, Sanjana Ganesan reacted to the incident with an emotional statement on her Instagram Stories, urging authorities to show restraint and stressing that no democracy should accept children struggling to breathe because of tear gas.

The sports presenter shared a slide from an Instagram carousel on her Stories, which read:

“If this can happen to a six-year-old sitting away from the protest, it can happen to anyone. No democracy should normalize children choking on tear gas. No peaceful citizen should have to fear the people meant to protect them.”

Since the CJP protest witnessed a chaotic conflict between demonstrators and security forces, questions continued to mount regarding police tactics and accountability in managing the capital's streets.

According to reports, nearly 180 protesters were injured during the CJP 'Sansad Chalo' march in Delhi, with multiple opposition leaders and civil rights groups demanding an independent inquiry into the police action and the use of force. The police force has resorted to lathi charges and fired tear gas shells to disperse protesters after clashes escalated near Parliament, leaving several people injured.

Protesters And Opposition Leaders Detained

Meanwhile, Day 2 of the demonstrations saw heavy security deployment and widespread detentions as authorities tried to maintain order across the city. Several political leaders, including Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi, KC Venugopal, social activists, and other prominent figures, were detained by the authorities.

As tensions across Delhi following the tussle between protesters and Delhi police escalated, security personnel intensified their perimeter restrictions around central zones to prevent further congregation near sensitive government installations.

The Prime Minister’s official residence, 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, became the focal point of high-stakes political demonstrations, as protesters and opposition leaders attempted to stage a demonstration to press for accountability. The demonstrators have been demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over NEET-UG Paper Leaks and irregularities in CBSE examinations.

Though the representatives of CPJ, chief spokesperson and independent journalist Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka met with Union Minister JP Nadda at his official residence, there has been no immediate certainty regarding a final resolution, leaving demonstrators and civil rights groups awaiting further developments.

Also Read: NEET-UG 2026 row: Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi detained during protest

Babita, a female Bengal tiger at the Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, has been diagnosed with cancer and has now started chemotherapy after her condition worsened. Babita is suffering from Adenocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer that affects the mesothelial membrane lining the internal organs.

The cancer was detected a few months ago. However, as clear treatment options were not available at the time, Babita was being given palliative care to manage her condition. Her health took a turn for the worse over the past few days. She developed severe swelling in her abdomen and began losing her appetite, prompting zoo officials to carry out detailed tests and reconsider her treatment.

He Painted Homes to Support His Family: Rajasthan Boy Scores 99.15 Percentile in NEET 2026

Team of specialists confirms diagnosis

The examination was led by the zoo's veterinary surgeon, Dr Nikesh Kiran.

Following the examination, a team of specialists, including Dr Sachin Manoj, Dr Jayakrishnan, Dr Aishwarya, Dr Harish C. and Dr Devi, confirmed that Babita was suffering from Adenocarcinoma.

The doctors have said that surgery is not possible because the cancer has already spread throughout her body.

With her condition deteriorating, zoo officials decided to begin chemotherapy after consulting a team of experts.

Vijeta Dahiya Removed as CJP Spokesperson After Viral Burger Row, Memes Take Over Internet

Carboplatin being used for treatment

Babita is now being treated with the chemotherapy drug Carboplatin.

The decision to try chemotherapy was based on a similar case at North Carolina State University in the United States. In that case, chemotherapy helped extend the lives of cats suffering from a similar type of cancer by around four months.

Based on the experience from that case, the veterinary team decided to provide Babita with the same treatment in the hope of extending her life.

Cat Faces Striking Cobra, Dodges Every Attack In Viral Video, Internet Can't Believe It (WATCH)

Babita was rescued from Wayanad

Babita was brought to the Thiruvananthapuram Zoo after being captured by the Forest Department in March 2024.

The 8th Central Pay Commission has announced new meetings in Delhi on August 7 and 10 for Central government employees and pensioners. Organisations that have already submitted their memorandums can apply for a slot by July 31.

The 8th Pay Commission has scheduled new meetings in Delhi for August 7 and 10. This is part of its process to gather feedback before finalising recommendations on pay, pension, and service conditions for Central government employees and pensioners. Organisations can apply to attend until July 31.

The commission issued an official notification on July 23. It states that these discussions will be held with various organisations, federations, and unions that are based or registered in Delhi and represent Central government and Union Territory (UT) employees.

This new announcement comes about two weeks after the commission held discussions in Kolkata on July 9 and 10. During that time, several employee and pensioner groups had expressed concerns about the pace of the commission's work and potential delays in its recommendations.

The commission has made it clear that only those organisations can apply for a meeting who have already submitted their memorandum but have not yet met with the commission, either in Delhi or any other state/UT.

Eligible organisations must submit their applications with their unique memorandum ID by July 31. The commission has said that it will share the details about the meeting's venue and schedule separately at a later date.

Employee unions and federations are expected to present their recommendations on various issues. These include pay revision, pensions, allowances, the fitment factor, promotions, career progression, and overall working conditions.

The commission has clarified that the August meetings are not the final round of discussions. They are planning more talks in Delhi and other states and UTs in the coming months before preparing their final recommendations for the Central government.

Organisations based outside the Delhi-NCR region can apply for meetings in their own state or UT, or a nearby location. The commission will publish the schedule for these future meetings on its official website.

Meanwhile, the 8th CPC has extended the deadline for ministries, departments, and UTs to upload employee data. They now have until July 31, 2026, to submit this information through the online data collection portal, as many government bodies had requested more time.

The commission has reiterated that it will only accept data submitted through the official portal. It will not consider any information sent as hard copies or through email.

A video of Karnataka High Court Justice M Nagaprasanna questioning lawyers over the alleged lack of action against a police officer accused of abetting a woman lawyer's suicide has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread discussion about police accountability and equal treatment under the law. During the hearing, Justice Nagaprasanna questioned why the officer had not been arrested despite allegations of torture and a 13-page death note reportedly left behind by the deceased lawyer.

    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Law Chronicle (@law_chronicle)

'India's Emotions...': Water Bottles Line Jantar Mantar As CJP's NEET Protest Continues (WATCH)

The judge's sharp questions centred on what action had been taken against the police officer accused of torturing the woman during an investigation. He also questioned why the officer was still free when the allegations were serious enough to be recorded in detail in the death note.

Judge questions why accused officer remains free

In the viral courtroom footage, the judge is heard asking the lawyer representing the state what steps had been taken against the investigating officer.

The lawyer reportedly responded that the matter was still under investigation.

Justice Nagaprasanna then questioned the basis of the investigation, pointing to the allegations that the police officer had tortured the woman and that the alleged torture was linked to her death.

The judge also asked whether the accused officer had sought anticipatory bail. When told that she had not, he made a pointed observation that she may not have needed to seek such protection because she was a Deputy Superintendent of Police.

The judge questioned whether the same approach would have been followed if the accused had been an ordinary citizen.

"Had it been a common man, would you not have arrested that person after a 13-page death note?" the judge asked in the viral footage.

He also questioned whether being a police officer could place someone beyond the reach of the law.

'I Loved Mumbai, But...': Doctor Reveals Why Long Commutes, High Rent Made Her Leave The City

13-page death note at centre of case

The case concerns a woman lawyer who died in an alleged suicide and reportedly left behind a 13-page death note. The note is said to contain detailed allegations of torture and mistreatment during questioning by the investigating officer.

The Advocates Association had approached the Karnataka High Court last month, alleging that the deceased had been physically assaulted, stripped and tortured by the woman police officer. The state has denied these allegations.

The court, however, took note of the contents of the death note and the serious allegations raised in the case.

The accused officer, Deputy SP Kanaka Lakshmi B.M., has not been arrested in connection with the abetment of suicide allegations and has not sought anticipatory bail, according to the details presented before the court.

The matter remains under judicial scrutiny, and the allegations have not been established as facts.

Newborn Grabs Doctor's Stethoscope Right After Birth; Netizens Joke Baby Has Already Chosen A Career

Court had earlier ordered SIT probe

Justice Nagaprasanna had earlier formed a Special Investigation Team comprising three senior IPS officers to investigate the allegations of torture and examine whether the investigating officer was responsible for abetting the woman's suicide, according to a report by Law Chakra.

The court also dismissed a petition filed by Deputy SP Kanaka Lakshmi B.M. seeking to quash the FIR registered against her in connection with the abetment of suicide allegations. A detailed order in the matter is awaited.

The case has also led to calls for an independent investigation. A request was made for the probe to be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), with the petitioners arguing that the allegations require an investigation outside the state police system.

Case linked to Rs 196 crore scam

The deceased lawyer was reportedly an accused in a case linked to an alleged Rs 196 crore scam involving the Karnataka Bhovi Development Corporation.

She faced charges under Sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code, relating to criminal breach of trust and cheating. On November 13, she had filed an affidavit alleging that she was subjected to torture by the woman investigating officer handling the case.

The allegations against the police officer are now at the centre of the court proceedings following the woman's death.

The viral video has prompted strong reactions online, with many users praising Justice Nagaprasanna for questioning whether the law is being applied equally. Others have used the remarks to raise broader questions about police accountability and whether officials accused of serious wrongdoing receive different treatment from ordinary citizens.

However, the case is still before the court. The allegations against the police officer remain unproven, and the investigation is ongoing.

Woman Sacked After Taking 'Medical Leave, Seeking Time Off For Sick Daughter' Protests Outside Tech Mahindra Office
